Our Team

We are a brother and sister duo, who saw the need for a campaign that focuses solely on Hopi. As a result, we reached out and built  relationships with various organizations, food distributors and volunteers to begin addressing the immediate needs of our Hopi People.

Our purpose is to raise funds for the Hopi people living on a rural reservation in Northern Arizona. The goal is to get supplies directly into the hands of tribal members utilizing partnerships with community leaders residing within each village.

Testimonials

"We have two grandchildren we are taking care of. The food and other supplies are very helpful and needed. Thank you so much for the donations.  We pray that your organization gets back more in return."  - Louis

“Donations from Hopi Relief have helped my village members out tremendously with food and other essential supplies. The food is always good quality and healthy. The long distance they have to travel to deliver the food says a lot about their commitment to helping the Hopi People. Asquali to Hopi Relief and their volunteers.” - Beatrice

“I really appreciate the assistance. The Hopi Relief organization has helped families such as mine in a time of need. I had to make some changes financially due to the Covid pandemic and the assistance received has been a relief. I thank the organization and volunteers who make this possible for the Hopi people. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Asquali!”  - Rose

“Found our household having to make budget changes to meet financial needs and all around adjustments to transition through COVID-19 and Tribal Declarations. Receiving support through Hopi Relief has been appreciated as we are having to limit shopping trips.”  - Joe

Arizona Tax Credit

Help Hopi families in need, and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona Income Taxes!

How Does it Work?
Hopi Relief is an approved Arizona Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO).  Make a donation to Hopi Relief of any amount (up to $400 if filing singly or $800 if filing jointly for your Arizona state tax return). When you file your Arizona taxes, you can claim a dollar-for-dollar Arizona Charitable Tax Credit that will either reduce your tax liability or increase your refund.

What is the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?
Arizona allows you to take a dollar-for-dollar credit on your state taxes when you donate up to $400 for single filers, or $800 for married couples filing jointly to a qualified organization. The tax credit was previously known as the Working Poor Tax Credit. If you file federal income tax returns, you are also allowed to deduct all your charitable donations to Hopi Relief.

What will my money be used for?
Your donations will help provide food, water and cleaning and sanitary supplies to Hopi living on the reservation.

Do I need to itemize my taxes to claim the tax credit?
No. You can fill out the short AZ Form 321 and claim the credit, even if you are claiming the standard deduction.  Hopi Relief's QCO code is 22268.

What if I already take the school tax credits?
This tax credit is allowed in addition to the education credit and the Qualified Foster Care Tax Credit, so you don’t have to choose, you can contribute to all four.

How do I get the tax credit when I file my taxes?
Claim your tax credit using AZ Form 321 when you file your taxes.  Hopi Relief's QCO Code is 22268.  Many online tax platforms also allow you to complete AZ Form 321 digitally! You can visit the Arizona Department of Revenue for more information.
